Grind your Trail Mix

Grind your trail mix for better digestion.

We should chew our food. I know we need the fiber, but we also need the nutrition. Why waste money on food that doesn't get digested.

We cannot all have perfect pearly white teeth. It would be nice if we had teeth like those mentioned in the Song of Solomon, "Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them." However, I am not talking about the ability to chew when it comes to nuts or trail mix.

Face it some things are hard to chew. If you have been using fluoride toothpaste, your teeth might even crack or break when chewing on hard foods. It is a known fact that fluoride makes brittle teeth,

Try this: Take out your coffee grinder and grind your trail mix. Have your coffee grinder do the chewing.

When you are finished grinding you'll be amazed at the finished product and it taste real good.

This trail mix had peanuts, M&M's, and dried fruit.  I used it on ice cream with whipped cream on top.

Nuts are healthy for you and trail mix is high in calories. That is, only if you can digest it. By grinding your mix, you will getting the energy food that you need. Try eating some on your yogurt before your next workout and you'll see what I mean.  You will gain energy and strength that you never thought you had.

Not only will you save your teeth from excessive and dangerous chewing but it will become a practice that you can use in your 90's. When we get into our later years most of us will be gumming our food and it will be nice having our nuts chewed or grinded for us.
