I'm starting to beautify my garden. The way to do it is to make nice clean pathways with added wood chips.
I have heaps of soil left over from re-digging my trench from last year. I was able to dig deeper this time around and have more soil left over.
I was burning trash today and cleaning out my old barn. I also had time to make some biochar. It turned out very well. My biochar can has a lot of leaks on the bottom of the cap so I filled it with a couple of inches of soil. I did not want the risk that my biochar would start smoldering. When it does, you are left with nothing but ashes. You need venting on the top but never on the bottom.
