Worm City

I was using the soil from my old trench when I saw a worm city. There were so many earthworms that I would consider it overcrowding like in a large city.  I was shoveling and it was time for them to get out of the city.

I take care not to hurt my friends the earthworm. They make wonderful soil. The earthworms does the job of composting my bales. The bales may not cook like straw bales do in a straw bale garden but they accomplish the same thing; they break down the bale into rich soil.

Take another look. I got all those earthworms out of this little load of soil. If I was going fishing, I would shout for joy.
